What do you look for when hiring?

If the person is fresh from school and has no experience, I would look out for a willingness to learn, initiative/resourcefulness, and a pleasant disposition. He/she must accept instructions from someone more experienced but with fewer paper qualifications. He/she must also have the guts to speak up when asked to do something which is obviously wrong. All this can be tested if the interviewer asks the right questions, giving different scenarios and hypothetical situations.
