Is it normal for your own mother to call you 'retard'?

yes it is verbal abuse. when i was 3 years old i developed epilepsy and had to go to mental institutions to get an eeg test done,back in the 1960's, and not once did my mother call me a retard. are you still going to school? if you are ask the guidance councilor to help you find organizations that help with independent living. these places help you find apartment , jobs and other things in your life to be independent. if you are not in school ask someone to help you find a government agency to help you find one of these agencies . your disability does not define who you are. let people get to know you and don't let your learning disability be the first thing that every one sees about you . you have a lot of skills , you help take care of the house and your siblings. that is not easy . you need to find friends that like you for being you . and don't apologize for having a learning disability . i really hope this helps in some way . please let me know how things go .
